I'm a woman and I've got thin hair - is there anything I can take for that? Or is it heriditary and I've just got to deal with it? I know the treatments on this site are just for men - arent they? I'm not balding - just my hair isn't very luscious. More thin and limp.

hello o canada. I just saw your post. Ive been on propecia, but ive been looking into how what you eat can make a differnce to your hair. I did another post - so take a look at that. I heard if you're aneamic its bad for your hair and makes it thin. I think girls are quite prone to that - my sister's had it. youve got to eat lots of iron rich food like dark green leafy vegetables, dried fruits, cherry juice, liver, eggs, raisins, dates, and whole grain cereals. And Silica is really good for promoting hair growth. You can take tablets or, its found in raw oats. Like porridge? Oh AND soy protein is supposed to be good. stuff like soy milk (which i hate) tofu (disgusting stuff) fish, eggs, yogurt, and cheese (love it) so getting eating canada. luscious locks are your to be had.

Thank you oyster! That's great. I do eat porridge quite often for breakfast actually, so obviously thats not doing much. So I might look out for it in tablet form and see if that does some thing. I already eat alot of the stuff that you've mentioned!

Hello Can men use this Kerastasse shampoo also for thinning hair or it is a womens product only? I have terribly thinning hair and wonder if it would help? DP

thing is Derek, kerastase is just a beuty line for various hair types. I know they sell hair masks and supplements for thinning hair but/ as you are allowed to take propecia, I would have thought you would have liked to use that becuase of it's success rate no?

hello Isabella - I am not taking any pill for thinning hair. I just wanted to see if this shampoo stuff would be suitable for a man. I think I have seen it in the hair salon once, but it could have been another make. Do these shampoos really work to help thinning hair ? DP

Derek, I take Propecia and its working great. I never bothered with shampoos, I think they just coat your hair in gunk. Propecia actually helps regrow visible hair, from the inside out.
