Hi wizzy i had some hair loss before on medication when my heartbeat went of rhythm with a virus.

I also had it with Acomplia.

Last time my GP sorted it for me by telling me to take a very high dose of evening primrose oil.

It has too be the 1000mg tablet and I took 5 a day
You can buy this in tesco's- 90 capsules its only about £6 , alot less that acomplia in any case.

It makes your hair grow faster and thicker.I promise, I had better hair than id ever had.

It also helps improve your mood and your hormones in relation to period problems.

I've went back on the evening primrose oil 2 weeks ago after acomplia ruined my hair again.!!

The only reason you cant take this dosage of evening primrose is if your pregnanat or an epileptic.
I had no side effects. Just lovely hair.

I though this might be of use to use Wizzy.

Caitlin x

Ive started it again this week

Thank you so much for that Caitlin,  I will away and buy the primrose oil and then talk to the doctor tomorrow.  Still feeling down but it looks like there may be light at the end of the tunnel.  Nothing worse than a lady losing her crowning glory.

Thanks again

Wizzy

Hi everyone.  Off tabs for a week and a bit now.  I feel so miserable and down, I am on my second bout of upper respiratory tract infection, the first lot of antibiotics were probably not enough.  I just got back from the nurse and told her, I am ten pounds down which she is pleased about but I have to maintain this on my own now.  However anything is better than feeling so miserable on a drug.  I just want the whole thing out of my system now and start again without any help.

It just shows how everybody is different, some people seem to be going great guns, I would be a bit worried about them as this drug has really badly affected a lot of people on this thread.

Hi there! New to this so here goes! Have just started my 2nd month from my GP having lost 71b month one with no effort and no side effects! Or so I thought till I read the message re periods! I take the mini pill and am fortunate not to have periods but for the last 4 weeks have had very light bleeding on and off regularly....a coincidence?, I'm starting to think not! Am now worried what this wonder drug could be doing to me and maybe I should come off it, despite good results. Your views please!

Hi Iclejehan,

I have gone on and off the tablets purely because they cost so much.

I havent lost anything realy think its cause I have to stop taking them as I feel so bad and then I get really really hungery and go back on them. i am in a right mess!! I now have a shrink! and she thinks that I may be able to get some diet pills from the doctor we will see.

Its so easy to use these things as a 'diet crutch'. I am worried that if I stop them, I'll do the same thing and stop and start which I am sure is just as bad as continuing them!
I'd be grateful to hear any professional advice you're given!

hi jammydodger here I posted a message but no one has replied yet (story of my life really)i am just starting my second month and apart from a bit of sickness the first week I have had no side effects(touch wood). However after reading these posts I find myself checking my hair and waiting for the unpleasant side effects that most people are having.I am now wondering what this may be doing to my body even though I feel better than I have in months

It's good that you are having positive results I have been on them 3 months I didnt realise what they were doing to me till a fair bit down the line when it took people to tell me that they thought something was wrong with me that was before all the worried posts on the forum.

the shrink hust said she has worked in medical field for years & years never never heard on it and warned me from taking anything like it and to start antidepresants and work on self confidence with her.
