Hi All,

I have been on acomplia for the past 2 weeks and have found that they haven't really been working all that well for me. I have been finding that they have been making me feel very depressed, I have been feeling quite down and upset for a while now. Has anyone else experienced this? I am considering coming off them all together as they not seem to be working. I used to be on reductil but my doctor changed me over to acomplia. Can anyone help?

hey Laura, i'm sad to hear that this is the kind of side effect it is having on you. have you spoken about this to your doctor? i've done some research for you and have come up with this drug info page; Acomplia weight loss pills side effects info. try reading up and see if it helps, there's a whole paragraph about the side effects. i hope it helps.

Laura, I was interested in your experience on acomplia. I am a journalist at BBC radio and am working on a programme about obesity drugs and am trying to speak to people who are currently taking the drug.

Well my doctors just taken me off Accomplia becuase of the side effects - chronic mood swings, depression and numerous suicidal thoughts. Have tried all drugs and failed so now its surgery time. He's made a referral for gastric banding - eeks!
Must say though, the side ffects were horrendous - my character completely changed and I was a monster to live and work with. Having been off the tablets for 4 days now, i feel a lot happier and more like my old self.
