Hello, I am new to this forum and I want to share my experience with Acomplia with you. Living in Germany, it was easy for me to get it, though I find it really expensive! During my second pregnancy, I gained about 80 pounds . I never got my weight that I had before, I tried Weight Watchers, Xenical, Reductil and even Phentermine. I have to say, that Phen have been good for me, though it is not allowed here in Germany and it was hard to get it and I was also afraid of the side effects (I have a bit heart problems), so I took it only 2 months or so. I was happy, that Acomplia have been approved here in Germany, so I gave it a try. Yesterday was my first day. I recognized, that my thoughts weren't just about "what can I eat now??" lol. I am on Weight Watchers too right now, cause for me it is important to know, how much I can eat. I was surprised, cause I didn't want to eat that much. Today, it was even stronger!! I have 20 points a day, now it's already 7.42 and I just had 9,5 points till now, normally this is waht I had in the noon!! So, yes- I am impressed by acomplia, it really does seem to help. I have no side effects till now, nothing changed since I take it. The only thing is, that I am not really willing to pay that much, so I am going to try the generic one! Good luck to everyone;)

Hi, Have just started day one on Rimonabant, did you change to generic version and was it any different to the original? I took Sibutramine(Reductile for the past year and lost 2 stone..............took about 3 months to loose and then it was for maintenance, but lately felt that it was begining to stop working, have gained about 6lbs so need to stop the rot before it takes hold, but don't want to waste money if the generic accomplia doesn't work as well as the real thing.

saffy, I was interested in how you have been feeling now you have been taking acomplia for a few months. I am a journalist at BBC radio and am working on a programme about obesity drugs and was trying to talk to patients who are currently taking them. all the best simon cox
