hi everyone i took seventeen does of accomplia and on the 17th had a bad reaction woke up during the night full of anxiety and unable to sleep , also cold sweats it felt as though a cold bag of ice was on top of your head , listless and lifeless feeling very flat . on phoning the gp was told to stop immediately which i did. Then thinking it would only last for a few days because it was leave my body . After 5 days of varying anxiety cold sweats etc i phoned the gp , he returned my call saying he had some grim news , accomplia or rimonabant has a very long half life and it can take up to 5/6 weeks to get back to normal . thats great if you dont have adverse reactions to it but it means as soon as it goes wrong youve got 5 weeks of feeling like this . anybody else in the same situation ??
i have found a few things that help lift this lifelessness / anxiety 1/ lavender oil - dont know why it does 2/ paracetamol - removes heady feeling
anyone have any other ideas or tried other things that work ??
apparently it takes so long because it works on the cb1 cb2 receptors in the brain and some of the drug bonds readily to the fat but i was only told that by a gp
Sorry your having side effects something I find really helps is exercise which fetures relaxtion at the end. I do 2 classes a week of a yoga based exercise class with relaxtion at the end I find it helps destress me and I always have a good nights sleep after.
