I have already been through menopause. I haven't had my womb removed or anything like that. But I am certainly low when it comes to being with my husband. Can you just use intrinsa if you aren't feeling sexual? Becuase I would like to. Thanks, Patty

Hi Patty, I believe Intrinsa is for both, women who have had their womb surgically removed thus inducing menopause or really those who have a low libido as a result of a hormone impalance, which is why we get the testosterone from the patch. I hope this helps. There is loads of info on this website too though which is super helpful!

hello Karen - did you get any side effects with taking Intrinsa? if so, how did you feel about them and manage them? Ive heard on here, that there are things such as facial hair, deepening of the voice and weight gain. I am new to Intrinsa, got it from my dr, but not yet started taking as wanted to find out as much information before taking the leap. Did you feel better straight away? judith

Hello ladies, I haven't checked on here for a while. Thank you for your replies and support. Since I last posted which was a while ago, I have been on Intrinsa. My new partner (my husband died 5 years ago) is 65 and he takes Viagra so I thought I would bosst our relationship by actually being in the mood instead of having sympathy sex (yes even at our age the male/female dynamic doesn't change much) So I feel young again and for a 63 year old, it means the world. I have not had side effects. But will let you know as soon as I see a hair or my voice drops, but for now, all is great and happy! How are you all? Patty

hello Well done Patty, thats fantastic news for you. Im yet to start taking it, as want to make sure I get all the information about the other types of pills on offer too and then figure out which one is best suited for me. So did you say you have gone through the menopause but not had a hysterectomy? Ive gone through both, so not sure how each different pill would work or not work. Also a little embarrassed to go to the doctor and talk it over! judith
