Still great over here, really giving me the confidence to try new things. I didn't meant that in a naughty bedroom way haha. But life just seems so easy now! Tina x

Hi Judith, what other medications are you now on? Apart from other hormonal meds I don't think Intrinsa will interfere and vice versa.

hello Oli - I just replied to your post on the other room. Im just taking Nurofen and Lemsip and Vicks sinex, but this cold still wont shift. I think I must be quite run down as normally a cold is gone within a few days. Ive still been putting the patch on my tummy, but it is really itchy and sore. Ive moved it about to different parts on my tummy but still I get the same effects. Any ideas? judith

Hi Judith, Intrinsa patches wont make your cold last longer or have any effect on illnesses like this. It's been a rotten winter and there's been some nasty bugs about. Have replied about your soreness. So basically it's get your skin as germ-free as poss, then make sure the patch is really well stuck on. Water etc will be getting in between the patch and your skin if it's a bit loose.

I found that I was a little itchy under the skin with the patches but I persisted and my skin got used to it and i keep the area rteally clean before I put the patch on so I dont get any germs bubbling under the surface. Hope this helps, issy x

hello Thank you so much Oli and Issy for your messages and reponses. Im taking both your advice and so far its not as itchy or sore. Still a little but Im guessing that will disapear as as I get used to it. Im really looking forward to feeling different in the next couple of months! Roll on! Yes this winter has been one of the worst for a long time! Hope your both having a lovely weekend regardless. judith

I wouldn't be surprised Judith if you don't feel a lot better/different even before the 2/3 months are up. I was so low on testosterone with a measurement of 0.003 that when I had the implant done, after a few weeks I started laughing like a drain,. My mood improved so much. The implants work quicker than the patches because the pellet is actually inside the body under the skin of the stomach, whereas the patch has to be absorbed through the skin and seems to then build-up. The patches do work because I have my hormone levels tested every year. I am also on estrogen replacement patches )Evorel) which is recommended when using testosterone patches. You can get HRT patches from the doctor hopefully.
