hey there,

there was a drug called Reductil that was magic! but they took it off the shelves for further testing and it helped a lot of people including me.

But there is something called xenical and I want to direct you to the xenical forum where you can read into it and find loads of information that you will need.  This site also has lots of articles.

Best of luck, you will get there!

yes, I've been on xenical for two weeks. It's very fussy, but it's working. You have to be strict about what foods you eat. It'll be torture cooking for kids and not eating their food too, though! That was always my down fall - I ate all their left overs and then had my dinner. No wonder I got so fat!

hey peeps
Iadeeemo...are you doing any form of exercising post preganancy? as that will also help to tone up and reduce the baby weight gained. Also, make sure your eating regular meals, if you starve yourself on a diet, all that will happen is the body goes into starvation mode and everything you eat, the body will store as fat as it thinks its being deprived.
See how that goes, and if you find you need the extra help, talk to one of the docs on here and they can best advise which pill would be more suitable for you.
Best of luck!

It's very hard to get motivated after having kids - and I found it so
difficult to find the time to exercise. I always thought that running around
after them was all the exercise I needed! But I lost the body that I had
before kids, forever. If I could do it all over again, I would make the time
to exercise properly and get my tummy back in shape. So take Fiona's
advice!

hey peeps
Thanks Whittle, I know its hard after having children to find time to do anything, but when they nap is probably the best time for a Mum to have a bit of 'me' time. It doesnt need to be an hours workout or anything like that, grab 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there, whereever is possible. Dance, skip, do housework(it burns lots of calories), something that is going to fit in with your routine.
Best of luck and keep up the good work!
Fi
PS...Whittle, its never too late to start working on getting your body in a shape your happy and comfortable with.

Hi Fiona - I'm trying, I promise! I walk as much as possible, and do some
jogging too. I can't bear gyms, although I'm going to try a yoga class this
week at my sports centre. I was wondering about which weights to buy if I
want to do some at home? I know you think some weight training is
important, but I'd rather do it from home.
Thanks, WA

hey peeps
Whittle...Id go for a set of 4 or 5kg dumbells, these can then be used for legs, back, chest, arms, tummy etc and are heavy enough to give you a good workout whilst scultping and toning your muscles. Check out a site called ultrfit magazine, they post a weekly workout with pictures which is great...i think you have to sign up for a weekly email, but its a good site.
Hope thats helpful and good luck with trying the yoga class, im sure you will enjoy it.

Thank you so much Fiona, that's very helpful! I just had a look at the
website and there's lots there. I'll pick up some 4kg weights tomorrow -
my yoga class is in the afternoon, I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks again,
WA
