Hi I am new to this forum, so hallo everyone....Just wondering if anyone can help.. i have blackheads on my nose, is there any way to get rid of them? Cheers Carl

they have some great cream at boots - its a facial cream you leave on over night - but to be honest - im sure they aint that bad..

Im female 20 years old and unlike you lot us girls look after our skin:) .....i can not remember the name like you gasters, but i use nose strips...u place them on ur nose and u can also get them for ur chin...and u wet then(while on ur nose) and leave for a while....when u take them off hold it up to the air and u will see all the heads have been removed....pretty gross i know...ill find out then name for you and get bk to u today....hope ive been able to help - Jezzax

That's true that you can get those strips. They work but sometimes they can be painful to say the least.... My research tells me that blackheads are different from normal spots, they are actually just "pores" clogged with dirt and oil that your face produces. what you need to do is find something to clean the area well....not just soap.....get a warm towel and place it over your nose which will open the pores before you clean it. I'm sure you've saw the adverts on the telly?

Hi Carl, I know all about this since i am a dermatologist - the strips which i think you are talking about are only to exfoliate the skin and remove some blokage near the surface. Men tend to have larger pores and deeper blockages...

Why dont you go and have a facial? I'm no skincare expert but I can definitely say that a specialist will have better ideas about this than using expensive non-tested creams or strips from Boots. Unless the advice is coming from a specialist or someone who at least knows what they are talking about, be careful what you put on your face, my daughter ended up with scars from advice she got from a teenage friend..Kx
