Does anyone happen to know why toe nails go yellow? I took off my brightly coloured nail polish the other day (from a good pedicure I'd had a few weeks ago, that last a long time) and I saw that some toenails were pretty yellow! I thought it was really gross so I just painted them again quickly before anyone saw! But I know thats not going to get rid of the problem...any tips? Thanks!

haha! yeh ive had that before. it when ur always painting ur nails. apparantly u can put some lemon juice on them to get rid of the staiins. but what u got to do is use a base coat like clear nail polish underneath. i know its gross but may be try to hiide them for a bit from people, without any poilish on, so that they can go back to normal it has happened to me tho! I know its gross

thank you Daisy, that's a cool idea! I'm going to take off the nail polish and try this out! It's amazing what a lemon can do! I think its really cool how there are so many things in nature with amazing properties. My eco warrior friends use lemon juice for doing their washing up. I've used it in my hair on vacation, to lighten it up. I drink lemon, honey and hot water when I feel I'm coming down with a cold and it always kills it. The lowly little lemon obviously kicks ass!!!

Hi ladies, if we wear nail polish all the time, they do go yellow because air isn't getting to the nail. It happened to me also and I left nail varnish off for a week and saw improvement. Hope you got rid of the yellow Rosie x
