my boyfriend had a cicumcision six weeks ago, and after all this time he is still in a lot of pain and his penis is very scabby looking and he tells me it is very painful (apologies for all the intimate details!!!) I keep tellign him to go the doctors, and i even cpontacted a doctor myself who told me that everything will be alright - but since the doctor has not seen him he cant make a diagnosis etc...... I would love to hear from any males or their partners about their experiance.

I hope i am not being paranoid but it cant possible take this long to heal --- thanks --beccx

Hi Bex
I read your post and can relate to what you have said. My husband was circumcised 2 years ago. And yes it can take a while to heal especially if he's got an infection. Tell your boyfriend to go to the doctors.  My husband did get an infection in his penis (where the stitches were) and the doctor gave him some antibiotics which cleared it up in no time. It healed up nicely after that.

Hi JJTT
I know i am female but you really should be circumcised if your forskin is causing you pain.  My husbands couldn't be pull back so after lengthy talks with the doctor decided to go a head.  He is so glad he did....... although it has made it ultra sensitive if you know what i mean..     Much better for the partners too...

thought you might find my story a little helpful.
had my circumcision when I was 5 due to being unable to pull my foreskin back (very painfull). It was not the best of operations and my bits really did not look as they should have done. Had lots of salt baths many times a day whilst in hospital. Eventually the swelling and the scabs started to go although it did take a while. many years later I have been told by many woman that they prefer "the new look" lol. although it is said to be more sensitive I would have to disagree. Being exposed and not protected it will become less sensitive and for me condoms are really difficult to cope with. Tell him to make sure he baths often and if it feels wrong then it probably is so have it checked.

Yes yes yes there is the argument that it is more hygienic - well - as long as you are a clean person it will be fine.

Leave it alone!
