You take Tamiflu ONLY when flu symptoms show. It does nothing preventative if taken beforehand. It also has to be administered within 48 hours of the first symptoms showing or else it's useless. First symptoms being: headache, feeling run-down, drowsy and being hot and cold. You know, the flu.

Getting "Tamiflu" is not simply a "purchase". It is the responsibility of the health professionals involved in prescribing and dispensing your medicine to ensure that you are informed on how to use your medicine correctly.

How do we know if Tamiflu would be any good in an outbreak of Birdflu, anyway? Nobody knows what strain the virus is and thus they cant make a cure for it til they know.

its really the best option we have got and it has been working in 80% of the cases so far...i'd rather go with having some than not.. but thats a personal opinion i guess..

AfinoaS is right that it is the best and ONLY option avaibale to us at the moment until the virus starts to spread. Once it spreads then we are able to create a vaccine which will immune us to that particular mutated bird/human influenza. Tamlifu is the first line of defense

In response to all the recent news we would like to advise you that UKMedix have set up a useful tool to help you determine whether your Tamiflu is the genuine Roche medication or not; Either way, we would also recommend that you contact Roche themselves who will authenticate your medication using the unique batch numbers that are given on the packaging of your Tamiflu. For further details please see the link below: http://www.ukmedix.com/tamiflu/roche-tamiflu.cfm and please do not hesitate to contact UKMedix should you have any enquiries.
