i am a 27 year old female and am experiencing a lot of headaches when i have sex with my boy friend. Its not that our sex is bad - its great - its just that i alwasy find myself feeling a dull headache in the base of my spine - (bottom of the neck). It does cause discomfort and is not always the case when i have sex but nonetheless it still happens. Does anyone else suffer from this? I have told my bf and he is very supportive but i am worried that he is going to get turned off very soon though. i have taken panadol and other medication over the counter that work but i dont want to depend on them!? Thanks for all answers, Irene x

maybe the trick is abstinence but i am sure that that will have few takers...maybe try being less active, (not sure how active you are - ** blushing **) Non narcotic pain relief tablets like Anaprox or Naproxen taken before sex ought to prevent headaches. Ibuprofen, more popular, might also work. With the headaches it may be a problem about the actual relationship - maybe?? (sorry to poke my nose in but that might be an option?) I hope you get better though. maybe take a brek and then see how you feel.
