Hey there You have to be careful when on the pill, antibiotics can cancel it out, so can other herbal medicines so ALWAYS check it out with the pharmacy or the dr's. If you are sick or have a bad stomach you must use other contraception for the next 7 days (continue to take your pill) you can go without a break but they say you shouldn't do that for long. I found that the pill injection was good for removing pmt, chocolate cravings, cramps etc and I no longer had a period which is completely normal and is not a problem. You have it once every 12 weeks and you are covered if you are ill or are on antibiotics. It can cause headaches in some people and can cause increase in appetie (if you recognise this then you can realise if you are overeating). The only problem is that you shouldn't stay on the injection for more than a few years as it can cause osteoparosis (I was on it for 6 yrs in total with no side affects). The only problem with the injection is it can take you a long time to become pregnant when you come off (1yr or more)and I found when I my periods started again (took a few months)where heavier than I remembered. I am now on the implant which is a little tube put in your arm (near where the bingo wings start) they aneathetise it so you don't feel anything and you're in and out at your dr's or health centre. This lasts 3 yrs and you can have it taken out any time and will be able to get pregnant straight away. I also don't have periods! I've never had the ortho triclin but if you've never been on the pill before you might find you change to find one that suits you best. Always use contraception with a new partner until you're both tested. I hope that is some use to you! Cosmic x
