I quit smoking a few months ago and I have been really good so far. My friends still smoke and whenever we go out over the weekend, i struggle so hard not to join them for a cigarette outside. I fear that i will weaken and have a cigarette! How can i get the strength to not be tempted? Gabie

Gabriella, I hope that you keep strong, you have come this far. I know what it is like to fall back into temptation to having another cigarette on a night out. Keep strong and just keep thinking of why you quit. The expense, the health problems, the stink. Be strong lovely! x

The weekend was the hardest yet. I went out for dinner and drinks with some friends I was so close to going outside for a cigarette with them when they went but I didn't. If I had been the only one left inside the bar maybe I would have left with them too, but luckily a friend stayed with me which was cool. Hopefully I won't be put in the situation where I go outside just because I am left a lone inside... Thanks for your support Isabella. x

Keep strong Gabriella, Maybe ask your friends not to all go out at once, take it in turns so you aren't left alone, If they are real friends they will try to keep you on the right path to quitting! xx

Houghton, I posted on your other discussion, I did quit smoking with Champix, one of the hardest parts was getting out of the routine of when I smoked, as you can see from my discussion, going out with friends was really hard as we all went out for fags together. It is so much easier now that I have the confiedence not to smoke and the will power! Hope this helps, Let us know how you are doing! Gabie x

HELP! CINDY74

Hi cindy, I am not sure about taking xenical and champix together, i would definitely talk to a doctor on here to get some medical advice. My advice to you is. Tackle one thing at a time. If you quit smoking for good, you will be healthier! then you can start getting on with exercise. When I quit, i did put on a few pounds but lost them once I started getting fitter. I feel great and have left the smoking man behind and cannot believe that I did it for so long. I am a NON - SMOKER! and it feels great to say. Keep it up and come back here when you are feeling weak/strong/nervous/worried, we have all been through it so will get you through it! Houghton
