I wanted to see how you are coping, for me I cannot stand the smell of smoke these days.  If someone passes me on the street and is smoking, i hold my breath till they pass.  It grosses me out. How bout you guys? lins27 03-03-2010 @ 6:15 PM                           reply Member Joined: Jan 2010 alright! well Houghton, im not taking any meds but i give up the fags at beginning of feb. i had a couple of crap days and smoked like a trooper but so far, ive been smoke free for nearly 3 weeks. i am well impressed with myself but im finding it hard to be around all my mates - they still smoke and arent really into the fact i give up. they think im going through a fase! but yeah i know what you mean about the smell of it on other people, do you reckon we stank that much? and just didnt notice it! linsx cindy74 03-06-2010 @ 3:24 PM                           reply Member Joined: Jan 2010 hey there well Houghton I know what you mean about holding your breath walking past someone smoking, I do that too. I also have to waft my hands in front of my nose when someone in front of me blows out all their smoke. its disgusting, and i never ever thought id say that out loud! had a bad couple of days this week, i took my pill without eating and i was actually sick, then had some bad news and really wanted to light up but resisted and ate a whole bar of hazlenut chocoloate instead! Digger - you must be at the end of the course now? How do you feel about stopping the meds? Ive stopped champix and started smoking again, got a few bad things going on and got depressed and worried - really want to start the meds again but not sure if i can? I haven't drunk any alcohol since about week 3, so quite frankly I'm desperate for a few drinks. My wife has been really good and not drunk anything in front of me either, so I didn't feel tempted, but we both knew I couldn't mix the two. I'm very proud of myself - and my family just can't believe it. Especially my kids! I definitely feel ready to stop taking the pills, and don't think I'll need to do the course again - I really think this has kicked it out of my life forever.
