I gave up like this. I was smoking about 20 a day then i went cold turkey didnt smoke for about two weeks then started again on purpose,when i started again it was properly disgusting and that reinforced me to stop smoking since i geniinely really wanted to,something i call warm turkey

A lot depends i think on the length of time that you have been a smoker. Id agree with the other post i read on this forumabout trying to remove yourself from the environment as best you can.

Interesting concept but the best method is to either stop completely by avoiding people and events that can encourage smoking

At some point when you quit you will find yourself in a situation where there are people smoking around you and you have the urge to light up. You can run but you can't hide when it comes to smoking.

I gave up smking but sometimes i stilll feel like one, i let myself have the litle pleazure wen i really want, that way ur not depriving urself. RL
