I think that people used the terms (smoking is cool or I feel relief from stress)as excuses and is irresponsible with them self. I don't see anything cool about a slow death or bothering people around with such a horrible smell.

There was not just one Marlboro Man but a few over the years and two of them died of cancer due to smoking. One of them even became an activist to prevent people smoking. I bet they had regrets when they lay dying.
