I didn't look at this forum yesterday, looks like I missed a few posts
about me! I've always wanted to be like Elvis, so I'm really chuffed,
thank you all!
I'll tell the wife and she'll start calling herself Priscilla.
She's very happy that I'm able to talk to people about smoking like this.
She gave up a long time ago (and didnt smoke that much anyway) so I
think she thinks she can't give me the right support. And of course,
you've all taken Champix.
Very kind of you to say all those nice things, but we're all in this
together. I should really have given up years ago and not wasted my
money and my health all these years. Hopefully the next generations
won't be so stupid.

(yes - I saw that on the box. I think she's going to try it when she's had
the baby. She insists she's trying to cut down to the minimum now
while pregnant though.)

Hey Elvis et al - Judging by the way my kids used to nag me about smoking, I'd say there's definitely hope for the next generation, even though they do strange things like drink jelly shots (spirits in jelly I think ... can't imagine it myself).
Cheers

hey there
I used to bag my parents to quit all the time, I hated smoke when i was a kid, i used to go to school and stink of stale smoke. Yet when I got to 13 id tried my first cig, i used to nick a cig out of my mums box before school and then me and my best friend used to go to the top of the school field and attempt to smoke it. I remember the first time i actually took the smoke in properly and it really hurt my throat and chest, but i still went on to be a smoker.
I think kids will try anything once, my son has already told me he has tried a marijuana cig and i was not pleased at all. yet he always nagged me to quit!
Hopefully though he wont start smoking, he plays alot of sports so i doubt it.

The rash has gone thank you Lins, having a few problems sleeping now.
Hoping that it will pass.

My children, amazingly, never smoked. I think they were always disgusted
by it, although they never really nagged me properly until recently. And
that's because they now have children of their own. I think they want me
to set a good example. And I agree with them.
