Hi everyone
Thought I'd start a new thread as the last one is now up to page 4! Actually, I want to ask if anyone who has been using Champix for a while experienced a sudden onset of side effects around week five or six. I've just had a few days in bed with a thumping headache and nausea and generally feeling down (not deep depression, just flat), and I'm now in week six! I know Jo.kat's bad experience was in week 5. Anyone else? I'm not liking this. Digger - what was your week five / six like?

Kazzle, i am on week 4 of champix now and week 3 of not smoking, i havent had the side effects you describe but i am on half dosage now as full dosage made me feel sick all day, very tired and generally not with it. Feel tons better now i only take 1mg a day instead of 2.

I'm in week six, and the only problem I'm having at the moment is this
rash on my hands. But as I say, I'm not sure if that's to do with Champix.
I've stayed away from alcohol, so I'm sleeping alright at the moment.
Sorry to hear you've been struck down a bit Kazzle - let us know how it
goes. It may be a vulnerable time, as Jokat said.

Well, I'm happy to report that I'm feeling fine now. I'm not convinced it was the Champix actually - maybe like your skin Digger. Anyhoo, doesn't matter, it's all good now.
Big challenge tonight though - it's my birthday and we're going out for drinks and dinner. Wish me luck!

Kaz - sorry to hear your feeling bit low, please please make sure you get checked out with the doc, as per JoKats post - we all need to be alert of any odd side effects.
Hope you had a great birthday and celebrated being smoke free too?

Kaz, hope your ok chick, dont let things get you down, really hope it aint nothing to do withb the meds...did you get yourself checked out? your probbaly on your holiday now, so not sure your checking in on here...let us know when your back that alls ok chick.
Bet your loving being sat on a beach! its freezing here in the uk! whens spring comin?
all good with the no fags, 4 weeks today since i smoked!

alright!
Glad your ok Kaz, was worried that you was getting same effects as poor JOkat had. Glad its passed, but make sure you keep an eye out and be safe.
where did you go for your long weekend? rock on the bank holidays here, i coudl do with some time off work and a nice long weekend! all i wanna do when its cold is sleep!
yeah im well chuffed with the 4 weeks(and now a day) just hope i keep at it and dont stray back to my old ways!

Glad yoru feeling better Kaz, not good to feel low, but we all have those days. Ive had a tough day today, lots of stuff going on and felt so tired...really wanted to reach for a cig but resisted and went out for a walk, its freezing here so it took my mind of it!
How is everyone else going?
Lins-hows it been this week? and dont worry, we all fighting the same battle, im sure you will do well and stay smoke free.

Thanks again guys, so good to have support from people who know what it's all about.
Hey whereabouts in the UK are you all from? I've been to London twice and Edinburgh once. Loved them both but also found London a bit overwhelming - sooo big and busy.
