The rash has cleared up, but now I've got bad nights. and I'm not drinking alcohol, so it's worrying that I can't control it. I hope I'm not going down the same route as Jokat - I've been doing so well. I can put up with the anxiety at night, but I just don't want it to get worse. Obviously, my wife is worried too. But hopefully this will pass. Do you live abroad Kazzle? I must have missed that. Where are you?

Hi Digger Sorry to hear about the bad nights, that's really not fair. One thing I've found works for me if I'm not sleeping because I'm stressed from work or whatever, is to exercise early in the evening, before dinner. It seems to wear me out and let my mind relax more. Anyway, as we know from Jo's experience - don't ignore it - see the doc. I live in beautiful Canberra, Australia. You might wonder what I'm doing on a UK site - there isn't one (that I could find) from Australia that's dedicated to quitting smoking. I found some threads on sites for other things - football, gay sites, four-wheel driving, young mums etc - none of which sounded like me! Glad I found you all here. Hope your nights start to settle down mate. Hey I just thought of something - if you can't sleep, come on the forum. Because of the time difference, I'm usually on when you good folks are alseep. Maybe we can chat! Kaz

hey there Digger - how are you doing ? Hope your nights are getting better, have you seen or spoken to the doc? we dont want any of us having the same or similar thing happen as poor Jokat did. Good to share too. Ive been having restless nights sleep the last week or so, but not anxiety i dont think...i wake up the next day and it feels like ive not been to sleep at all. hope its just a phase or something to do with my work being really stressful right now. Kaz - you lucky thing living in Australia, its a beautiful country, one ive only seen a small bit of but would love to visit again! I live in London, love it here, i love the busyness of it all! Hi Cindy Hope your restless nights settle down. I'm having the opposite problem at the moment. Just can't seem to wake up in the morning. But I don't think it's anything to do with Champix, more the change of seasons. The mornings are nice and cool here now after a very hot summer, just perfect for sleeping in. Fortunately it only takes me 15 minutes to get to work!Hey Digger - how are you going? Hope the anxiety has passed. Cheers everyone Kaz

hi all, how is everyone? from reading some of the comments on here it seems a few of you are having some problems with sleep and anxiety? hope it has passed, i feel really lucky as Champix is causing me no problems, i'm on week 5 now and apart from the initial nausea i feel fine, i have lowered the dose so i have no side effects at all, sleep well and not feeling anxious but i am keeping an eye on things as am aware of Jokats experience. Kazzle i live in North Yorkshire, a place called York, very beautiful and historic. Tracym x

Good to hear from everyone on the same topic of sleep, and thank for your concern. I lowered my dose in the end, and it's already had a good effect. I'm feeling much more relaxed at night and sleeping well again. I'm on week 8 right now, so not long to go. Kazzle, thanks for your advice. I've been to Sydney and Melbourne, but missed Canberra unfortunately. A long time ago now, so its all probably very different. But I did love Australia.

Hi Digger - so glad to hear from you. Thought you'd gone AWOL. Great that your sleeping has improved. Yeah it's easy to miss Canberra. Even though it's the capital it's quite small. It's a bit like a baby version of Washington. But I love it. Tracy - I looked up York on the net. What a beautiful place. Must be lovely to live there, lucky thing! Have a good weekend everyone. Kaz
