Last night I had a terrible nights sleep - waking up throughout the
night panicked and with a racing heart. I haven't been drinking so I
know it's not that. I didn't feel angry, I felt very afraid of something. I
can't remember at all what I was dreaming about. As I'm now in week 7
of champix, I wondering if this could be something to do with the
onset of side effects that happen later in the course.

I am continuing to take it, determined to finish this course. But last
night has given me a bit of a jolt. My wife suggests I write it all down
here. If anything, so that I have a record of how I feel.

How is everyone else sleeping on champix?

Hi Digger
That must have been pretty scary. It could be Champix - a week ago I suddenly had a couple of days where I was down, headachy, nauseous etc, and that was after five weeks. But it went away as soon as it came. Hopefully your bad night was just an aberration too.
Hey Jewels - hang in there. I've noticed the dreams start to settle down after while.

Thanks Kazzle, but I did have another bad night last night. Very anxious
again. But during the day I feel fine, just tired. I'm hoping this is just a
phase. I want to keep going with it, and finish what I've started. But it's
horrible to feel unhinged at night.

How are you getting on now Digger?

Sounds like youve got it bad. I had some crazy nights for a while, but that
was at the beginning. If you're not used to any kind of head frying, I can
imagine it must be pretty unsettling. Hopefully it is just a phase...

Hi again Digger - just had another thought - maybe you could ask your doc about reducing the dosage? That seems to have worked for other people on here with other side effects (nausea etc). And you've come so far now you might not be so reliant on the drug to need the full dose ... just a thought.

hey there
Digger - are you ok? You must be on the last legs of the course now? Did you speak with a doc? Hope your ok and thanks for sharing your experience with us all. We all need to be so alert with regards to side effects, the more we know, the more we can support each other and keep an eye out for things when they are going wrong.
Im on week 5 of champix now and a friend of mine has started a week ago, she is having the same sickness i had - but her dosage is quite low, she said she also feels headachy and generally tired out. Not sure if thats a side effect or not.
Jewel - how are things now?
kaz - we must be on about the same time for champix, or maybe yoru a bit ahed of me?
Hope its all goign well

Hi everyone
How are you going Digger? Hi Cindy - yeah I think we started about the same time. My quit date was 8 February. So apart from a couple of blips, it's been 5 weeks! Yay!
Keep it up folks, we're doing so well.

How are you all feeling on the meds? Ive been having a couple of not good sleeps, dont remember if theres been any dreams but ive woken and felt odd.
Am really wary of JoKats experience so keeping an eye on it.

Hi Cindy - yes I think we all need to be wary after Jo's experience. Wonder how she's going. Bit concerned about Digger at the moment too - he's gone all quiet.
I'm fine on the meds now - have only had a couple of rough days or nights. I keep forgetting to take the evening one, so I'm more or less on a half dose. Doesn't bother me; it means I'll have the pills for longer.
Cheers
Kaz
