if you are ready then just do itI used to smoke 20 a day and honest I wouldnt start again now . I really dont think I could even smoke a whole fag now if I wanted to . I put all my fag money in a pot and I bank it once a month. You watch how it grows ,it keeps me going and I am smoke free .

Ok, so I took my first dose of champix yesterday after a few false starts! So I really am away now. Except of course I'm still smoking. But when I stop and go it alone on just the champix I'm going to put the money in a pot just like you said and see how much money I've saved. feeling very positive about all this. It just took me a while to get off the starting line, but now I'm away!

Hi Claribelle good luck and think positive,I have been off champix since 08/10/2010 and I am still not smoking. once you decide which day to stop smoking just really try. the first 2 days are the hardest after that it got easier for me but everyone is different. You will start feeling sick but just take 30mins after food and it shouldnt happen. I had smoked since I was 11 I am now quite old ;-). I did set my first smoking day up as august 8th but I didnt do it until the 9th I just kept telling myself I would have one in a min. Well let me know how you got on, I will check most days to see if you have replied.

Hi ladies, just thought I'd pop on and see who was being brave and it appears you all are. Fantastic , keep up the good work. I'm now 6 months down the line and am very proud of myself, infact all my friends, colleagues and relatives are in shock as I was the last person they expected to be able to give up, particularly first time ! People I know that are smokers are now using me as inspiration as - if I can do it anybody can ..... good old champix plus the will power I never thought I had ! Good luck - you can do it too.

I have been having some crazy panic attackes! i can't seem to get myslef calm. i dont know if its the champix or just the withdrawal symptoms but my heart rate sometimes goes through the roof! its really quite wild. i keep having to get out of the office and go for walks around the block! everyones used to me popping out for a cig anyway, so its no different.. but does this feeling pass soon???!?
