Hi 2 u all, if like me u found this website by looking up champix, u may find all the info useful. I just wanted to say that i have been on champix 2 weeks now and havent had a fag for a week!!! i had smoked 20+ a day 4 24yrs. I had alot of side affects, headaches, bloated stomach,tiredness, no energy, very horrific dreams, sleep disturbance,even days where i didnt want 2 speak 2 any1 and felt very down an out, nausea, extremely bad wind (embarrassing i no) i even craved for a fag!!!! but it has all been worth it, i am now feeling the benefits of not smoking, and the side affects have sub-sided. you do need 2 want to give up tho, this isnt a quick fix and will power is required (god i sound like an advert)
If u can cope with the side affects then i would say give it a go, what u got to loose?? if u dont like the way they make u feel, u can always stop taking them, we all have that choice, gud luck 2 any 1 tryin 2 stop an well dun 2 all that have.
I would like to hear off any1 who has finished the coarse and how u feel now and if u have stayed off the fags???

I was given Champix back on October 5th 2007.
My doctor hardly knew anything about the drug and couldn't give me much support while on it.
I ended up taking the white pills for 2 weeks....and that was it, I've never had a fag since!
I started smoking when I was 14years old (1987).
Thats 20 years.
This was my 3rd attempt at giving up and it worked a treat.
But the only thing is once a smoker always a smoker, meaning I went to a wedding at the weekend, everyone was smoking, so I had one ekk!
It didn't taste nice but it shows how easy it is to start again, so you have to be careful.
I havn't had any cravings for a fag this week and I have no intentions on starting again.
It's now or never!!!
