Theyre saying that PE is in your genes now, does that mean that i'll never fully be rid of it? I know one in three guys gets it at some point in their lives, so i was kinda hoping this was just a phase cos im young?

Look I dont think PE is a genetic disorder, but you can be born with a gene that will increase the chances of PE. I don't think they know what the official cause is yet. Some say psychology, some say stress, some say genes... If you've jerked off in a hurry a lot (ie. as a randy teenager) that could trigger PE later on. You're kind of set on a 'got to do this in a hurry' mode. If you don't have any underlying medical issues, this is a common reason. Taking Priligy may help to reset that switch, who knows?

There have been articles about the fact that p.e. could be in your genes but even the guys who are predisposed to having p.e. can still do lots about it, like what they say in the other forums! So i wouldn't worry about whether you have inherited it!! Mike

I think there are scientific group who's livelihood depends on finding issues like this that might be genetically inherited, which sets off a media frenzy (making the scientists famous) and then gets men all over the world completely freaked out that there's nothing that they can do about their problem, and that they're stuck with it forever. First of all, it's never that clear cut, and I find that reports often contradict each other. Second of all, its so damaging psychologically. And that's really hard work to untangle that mental mess. So now we've got meds like priligy that can actually help men last for longer and - I think - possibly even reset a switch. If you last longer, again and again, with the meds, it might help you psychologically, so that eventualy youre able to control yourself more. possible right?

whether theres truth or not in genetically inheriting it - the fact is that the science out there today is going to solve it. Priligy has got to be the best scientific invention ever. They should give whoever invented it the Nobel prize! I thought I'd be stuck with a 2 - 3 minute sex life forever. its a total miracle to be able to last twice that now, from just taking a pill.

hey oyster, thats really GREAT mate. so glad that youre happy with it. On the whole intheriting/gene PE issue, I think its kind of like when you sniff pepper or dust, and some people sneeze right away and others can hold in that sneeze for a while before it happens. Its just some people can, and some can't. Also, I think probably a lot of men think they have PE, when they actually have very normal levels of sexual stamina. I think we all believe the other guys are studs...when its just a myth. Ill be curious to see the responses to the other thread on how long men actually last..

I always think that, with the girl im sleeping with, that the guys shes had before me have all been studs, and that she's been endless satisfied and that im just a huge disappointment because i can only go for a couple of minutes. i just cant help comparing myself. and because i;ll never know the truth for sure, in my imagination i build them up to be super human. why do we do this to ourselves??
