Take Care using Viagra
Please tell your doctor if you have suffered or are suffering from sickle
cell anaemia, leukaemia, multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow), or
any disease or deformity of your penis. These conditions can require special
care when taking treatment for erectile dysfunction. Additionally your doctor
should, if you have ever had any problems with your heart, check to see
if your heart can take the additional strain of having sex.
You should not take Viagra with any other treatment for erectile dysfunction.
Viagra should not be given to persons under the age of 18 years. Patients
over the age of 65 years will have to be given special consideration. If
you fall into this category, your first dose of Viagra will be adjusted.
Your doctor may decide that your dose of Viagra should be different if you
suffer from liver or kidney problems. In some cases, Viagra can cause dizziness
and effects on the vision. You should be aware of this before you drive
or operate machinery.
Please advise your doctor or pharmacist if you are, or have recently taken
medicines, even if not prescribed. Viagra may interfere with some medicines,
especially those used to treat chest pain. In the event that you are involved
in a medical emergency, you should tell anyone treating you that you have
taken Viagra. Do not take Viagra with any other medicines unless cleared
by your doctor. Your doctor will advise you of a suitable dose of Viagra
to take if you are being prescribed protease inhibitors, for instance in
the treatment of HIV.
